NYC Fashion Week

Did anyone else think the Lacoste show was uninteresting? It just seemed like the same outfit was coming out several different times, on guys and girls. So far, Fashion Week has not inspired me whatsoever. Some collections were okay. I liked ADAM. I think I still am sick with Balmain fever though- I'm just expecting every collection to be as fantastic as that one. Am I the only one who feels this way?

This season, Balmain has really inspired me! I especially loved those studded shoes! Also, I am obsessed with the very detailed military jackets- like the one above. You could wear it with jeans, or with a cute summery dress under it! The possibilities with this jacket are basically endless!

Hey!

How are everyone's 2009s so far? I want to hear all about them! But, anyways, I've decided that this blog will not focus so much on events in the fashion world or trends, but will more be where I can show what I'm inspired by, etc. Thanks for reading loves!

Wish lists

I interviewed three fabulous Polyvorians, asking them what they are hoping for for the holidays this year.
Meet the fabulous three I interviewed...

Meet Angie, a stylish Polyvorian
who does NOT follow trends-
she sets them!

Joanna, a twenty-four year old
fashion student who always has
the hottest outfits on her page.

HBT is definitely one
of the most colorful
Polyvorians out there.
Check out her blog.

What's the number one item on your wish list this holiday season?
EtchaSketchinLola: I'm dying for a Marc Jacobs bag. I found this amazing tote of his that was just too cute for existence and I really NEED to have it.
Incubeautee: It's kind of funny that every year I write a Christmas List of all the things that I want and I'm 24! :) Call me immature. Anyway, this year the holidays came so quickly, I didn't get to think about what I really wanted.
HeyBigTrender: TIME. It's so weird but everything is going at breakneck speed and all I want is more time to do things. :)

If you could have anything you wanted, no matter what the cost, what would you want?
EtchaSketchinLola: I would want a penthouse apartment on 5th Avenue.
Incubeautee:  To graduate college HAHA! :)
HeyBigTrender: I would get a private jet. LOL.

What stores do you do most of your holiday shopping at?
EtchaSketchinLola: I spent most of my holiday shopping money between Macy's and Best Buy.
Incubeautee: A little bit of everywhere from Macy's to Best Buy to Bath and Body Works.
HeyBigTrender: I actually do my holiday shopping at the mall like regular people, but I like going to thrift stores to get people unique gifts.

I hope you all got what you wished for and had a great holiday!!

Leather Skirts

In an older post, I described a new trend- leather pants. Now, we've all moved on to skirts of the same material. Let's check in with some Polyvorians and see how they wear leather skirts...

With a girly blouse

With a jewel-toned tank

With a pale blue bustier top and vest.

With a plaid shirt and interesting boots

With a very basic top and bold accessories

Obviously, it's winter now, so unless you live in sunny California, would wear tights underneath.
